The IC-705 is a portable QRP transceiver covering HF, 50 MHz, 144 MHz, and 430/440 MHz, receiving continuously from 0.030 to 199.999 MHz and 400.000 to 470.000 MHz. It supports USB, LSB, CW, RTTY, AM, D-STAR digital voice, FM, and wideband FM receive, with output up to 10 W on 13.8 V DC external power or 5 W on its BP-272 battery pack. The radio holds 500 memory channels across 100 groups, weighs approximately 1.1 kg with its battery installed, and measures 200 x 83.5 x 82 mm.
