Overview
The GMR 434/436 xHD3 is an open-array marine radar built around an end-fed slotted waveguide antenna, available in 4 ft and 6 ft lengths delivering 1.8 or 1.1 degree horizontal beam widths respectively. The GMR 430 xHD3 pedestal transmits at 4 kW peak power with a bearing accuracy of 0.25 degrees, covering a range from 20 m out to 72 nm, and rotates at 24 or 48 rpm. It runs on 11 to 32 Vdc, drawing 18 W on standby and around 55 W while transmitting, and is IPX6 rated with an operating range from minus 25 to 55 degrees C. The pedestal weighs 24.1 kg, with antenna weight of 5.5 kg for the 4 ft version or 7.7 kg for the 6 ft version, and ships with 15 m power and network cables.
Questions
