Overview
The IC-F4003 is Icom’s affordable UHF analog handheld, covering 400 to 470 MHz (or the 450 to 520 MHz export band) across 16 memory channels with selectable 5, 2 or 1 W output. It needs no special training to operate: the controls are simple and generously sized for non-slip, positive operation, and the radio is weather-resistant, dust-protected and built to military ruggedness standards for everyday commercial use. Its internal speaker delivers loud, clear audio for noisy sites, and UHF’s better penetration through structure suits it to indoor and built-up environments a VHF equivalent would struggle in.
