About this product
The AMEC Plomo 500 is an AIS Search and Rescue Transponder (SART) that transmits Message 1 and Message 14 AIS alerts at 1W EIRP on the AIS 1 and AIS 2 frequencies, paired with a 72-channel GPS receiver accurate to better than 2.5m. Its highly visible yellow housing floats, is rated for immersion to 10m, and extends to a 1050mm pole for maximum visibility, while the replaceable primary lithium battery provides a minimum of 96 hours of operating life and a 6-year storage life. Complete with a carry bag and wall mount, the unit weighs 283g on its own and 1.08kg in its full storage package, and meets IEC 61097-14, IEC 60945 and ITU-R M.1371-5 standards along with IMO Resolution MSC.246(83).
