About this product
The AMEC TB560 is a simplified Class B AIS tracking beacon, built for cost-effective vessel tracking rather than full transponder functionality: port authorities and vessel owners can locate, identify and monitor a vessel within AIS VHF transmission range once it is installed. The unit is compact, self-contained and built with integrated VHF and GPS antennas plus a rechargeable internal battery rated for up to five working days of operation, making it suited to smaller vessels with no onboard power supply to draw from. It activates when mounted into its dedicated bracket, includes a tamper-proof feature that flags unauthorised transfer between vessels, and can transmit safety-related messages in an emergency.
