Overview
The IC-M510EVO is Icom’s flagship fixed-mount marine VHF, an evolution of the established IC-M510 Class D DSC radio with Wi-Fi connectivity added on top. It pairs with Icom’s RemoteCommander app to put full radio control, channel selection, DSC calling, AIS target display, on a connected phone or tablet anywhere aboard, rather than confining operation to the helm unit itself. As a Class D DSC set it meets the current carriage-relevant DSC standard, and its position in Icom’s range as the evolved successor to the M510 reflects a genuine feature step up, not a cosmetic refresh, for a bridge or flybridge installation that wants wireless control alongside its fixed VHF.
