Overview
The IC-M510 Class D is a fixed-mount VHF marine radio covering the international 156.025 to 157.425MHz transmit band with dedicated DSC (156.525MHz) and dual-channel AIS receive (161.975/162.025MHz) for distress alerting and vessel tracking. It switches between 25W and 1W output from a 13.8V DC supply, drawing 5.5A on transmit, and drives an external speaker at more than 15W audio output. A built-in 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi module with WEP, WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK encryption lets the radio connect to smartphones and other Wi-Fi devices, and the unit weighs 730g and is rated from -20C to +60C.
