Overview
The IC-M804 is a marine SSB transceiver for long-range HF communication, receiving continuously from 500kHz to 29.9999MHz and transmitting across the marine HF bands with built-in DSC on six dedicated distress and calling frequencies. It delivers 85W PEP on the lower bands (1.6 to 3.9999MHz) and 125W PEP from 4.0 to 27.5000MHz, running from either a 12V or 24V DC supply and drawing up to 40A on transmit at 12V. The main unit weighs 8.6kg (367 x 95 x 260mm) with a separate 760g remote controller that carries an IPX7 waterproof rating for use in the cockpit.
