Overview
The IC-M424G is a fixed-mount VHF marine radio with an internal 66-channel GPS receiver and NMEA2000/NMEA0183 output (RMC, GGA, GNS, GLL, DSC, DSE), so position data feeds DSC distress calls and connected chartplotters without a separate GPS antenna. It switches between 25W and 1W output from a 13.8V DC supply, drawing 5.5A on transmit, and drives an external speaker at up to 10W audio output. The radio connects via a 50 ohm SO-239 antenna port, is rated IPX7 waterproof, weighs 1.2kg, and measures 180 x 82 x 119.9mm.
